Historical note
Huis te Wedde. Op een omgracht terrein gelegen Borg bestaande uit een oudere vleugel, waarvan de kelder nog wel uit plm 1370. stamt en bij een herbouw eind 15e eeuw door gewelven overkluisd is. Aan de noordzijde 16e eeuwse vleugel. Op de scheiding van beide bouwdelen een veelhoekige traptoren waarin wapensteen Schenck van Toutenburg 1541. Van de ommuring met rechthoekige bastions op de hoeken zijn delen zichtbaar gelaten en geconserveerd.
