Lecture éditoriale
Historic England identifies a fifteenth-century hall and cross wing, a chamber range of about 1530 and later service accommodation. Work between 1790 and the early nineteenth century substantially changed its appearance, with further restoration by Philip Tilden in the 1920s.
The listing distinguishes early timber framing and panelling from later arched windows, decorative parapets and plaster vaulting. It also records reused fireplaces and stained glass, showing how the interiors accumulated material from different periods and places.
