Redaktionelle Einordnung
Historic England describes Brocton Hall as an eighteenth-century building with later additions at the rear. Its listing records that the original third storey was destroyed by fire in 1939 and had not been replaced when the account was prepared.
The recorded exterior has rendered brick walls, a seven-window frontage and a rounded central projection with a Doric porch. A basement lies beneath the principal storeys. The interior description identifies moulded plasterwork and a cantilevered stone stair with an iron handrail as significant features.
Our editorial reading: the building's reduced height is part of its history, not evidence that it was always designed with its present silhouette. The relationship between the curved entrance and surviving interior details offers a useful focus for architectural study.
