L’ancien château de Lupfen-Schwendi est l’ancien siège de la seigneurie de Hohlandsberg ; la demeure, appuyée sur l’enceinte urbaine, a été édifiée entre 1415 et 1430, remaniée aux 16e (Lazare de Schwendi) , 17e (baron de Montclar) , 18e et fin 19e siècles (baron de Castex). L’ensemble a subi des dommages de guerre.
