A la fin du 16e siècle, la vieille forteresse est remplacée par le manoir actuel. A la Révolution, Mardilly fut vendu comme bien national. C’est un bâtiment rectangulaire, construit en roussier, muni, aux quatre angles, d’une poivrière circulaire.
