Historical note
Kasteel van Heel, thans St. Annagesticht. Hoofdvleugel, tweede kwart zeventiende eeuw, met opzij een vierkante toren onder een gefatsoeneerde spits; verder twee lagere zijvleugels met mansardedak, midden achttiende, aan weerskanten van het voorplein. Van de oude voorburcht bestaan nog een hoekpaviljoen met achtzijdige spits, zeventiende eeuw, en een poort met hardstenen omlijsting onder een fronton, waarin het alliantiewapen Horion X de Raville, 1686.
