From the register

Fief de la famille du Homme depuis l’époque féodale, le domaine de Chassilly voit se succéder plusieurs édifices. Au XVIIe siècle, un premier château remplace probablement un manoir primitif. A partir de 1868, un château neuf est reconstruit par Gustave Louis Eugène Pillaut du Homme dans le style néogothique.
