Château médiéval (corps de logis nord des 15e-16e siècles) transformé en demeure de plaisance aux 18e (pièces de réception, jardin en terrasse, parc) et 19e siècles (restaurations, création de décors intérieurs, chapelle). La chapelle, de style néo-gothique, est l’oeuvre de l’architecte Sainte-Marie-Perrin. Sources : Ferdinand de Lacombe, le Château de Dortant, dans « La vie à la campagne », 25 mai 1868.
