Edifice construit à l’initiative d’une riche famille de négociants céréaliers au début du 19e siècle, dans l’esprit classique de la fin du 18e siècle. Il s’agissait d’une grande exploitation viticole, ruinée par la crise du philloxéra et par la mauvaise gestion de l’un de ses propriétaires.
