From the register

Château élevé sur les ruines d’une première forteresse médiévale à la fin du 15e et au début du 16e siècle par Jean d’O, capitaine de la garde écossaise de François Ier. Vers 1770, la façade principale a été démolie et reconstruite au goût du jour. La cour d’honneur contient une colonnade ou promenoir paraissant appartenir à la première Renaissance.
